About Me
My name is Kimberly Ruiz, I’m a first-generation Mexican-American and first-generation college student. I’m bilingual, fluent in Spanish, and learning English as a second language. At a young age discovered I have a learning disability called dyslexia. So growing up reading, writing, and even communicating was super challenging. I mean can you imagine switching back and forth between two languages and learning a new one as you grow? So I accepted the learning disability was not going to hold me back from getting an education.
In my spare time, I like to draw, paint, go thrift shopping, attend shows/concerts, collect vinyl records and cassettes, and drink tea and coffee!
My purpose in life is to create art whether it's to paint, draw, or design what I envision in the world.
Life's too short, live the way you want to live.

Meet Sirius!
He's a star with legs (but don't bring it up around him)! He's always fussy, hates waking up early, dislikes ducks, and doesn't care about anything. He likes to be by himself, stay up all night, and listen to 2010 music. Sirius is actually the staple to my personal brand (He existed from a sketch I did while I was in class)!
